INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
  • 2 tsp coriander seeds
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tamarind deseeded
  • 1 cup Lukewarm water
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 to 5 tbsp chopped onions
  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  • tsp turmeric powder
  • 4 to 5 tbsp chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp coconut milk
  • 3 mackerel fish
  • 4 to 5 green chillies
  • slit
  • vinegar
  • salt
  • coriander

HOW TO PREPARE FISH CALDINE

    In a grinder take some grated coconut, cumin seeds, black peppercorns, coriander seeds, garlic cloves, deseeded tamarind and grind well.

    Pour a little lukewarm water into the ground mixture and grind again.

    Strain the mixture into a bowl.
  4. 4

    Heat olive oil in a pan.
  5. 5

    Saute chopped onions chopped ginger, turmeric powder, chopped tomatoes.

    Add a little salt for seasoning.
  7. 7

    Pour a little coconut milk into the masala.
  8. 8

    Add fish pieces to the masala and cook them for some time.
  9. 9

    Pour the strained mixture in the bowl to the fish masala.
  10. 10

    Add green chillies and a little vinegar.
  11. 11

    Cook the whole for three to four minutes.
  12. 12

    When ready, transfer it to a serving plate.
  13. 13

    Garnish the dish with coriander.
