English Muffins
These yummy English muffins are a delightful snack you would want to have with breakfast or tea.

  • FOR the dough
  • 1½ cup refined flour
  • 1 tbsp icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup soda water
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2–3 tbsp vegetable mayonnaise
  • FOR garnish
  • icing sugar
  • vanilla syrup

    Prepare a dough of refined flour, icing sugar, butter, soda water and salt in a bowl.

    Cut the dough into small circular pieces, trim the sides and flatten them.
  3. 3

    Add olive oil and butter to a big, heavy-bottomed pan and spread it using a baking brush.
  4. 4

    Place the muffins on the pan and cook both sides for 2?3 minutes.
  5. 5

    Remove and slit the muffins at the centre and fill them with vegetable mayonnaise.
  6. 6

    For garnish, add icing sugar and vanilla syrup.
