INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Onions (Finely Chopped)
  • 1 cup Rice (Soaked
  • Minimum 2 Hours)
  • 20 gms Pine Nuts
  • 10 to 12 Black Olives
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 4 sprigs Fresh Dill (Finely Chopped)
  • 5 to 6 Grape Leaves
  • As Needed Water
  • As Needed Olive Oil. For Dip:{50 gms Hung Yoghurt Mixed With Dill
  • 30 gms Processed Cheese. For Garnish:{Green Whole Olives
  • Black Whole Olives}

HOW TO PREPARE DOLMADES

    Soak rice for at least 2 hours.

    : In a pan warm olive oil, add chopped onions and sauté.
  3. 3

    Drain water from soaked rice and crush it lightly.
  4. 4

    Add crushed rice in the pan and cook.
  5. 5

    Add 20 gms of pine nuts, 10-12 black olives and cook.

    Add little water, tomato paste and chopped dill to the pan.
  7. 7

    Soak grape leaves overnight in chilled water to drain out excess salt.

    Lay grape leaf on a flat surface, add rice filling and roll the filling tightly to form a tube shape.

    Put dolmades to steam for 30 minutes in a steamer.

    For Dip ,Mix hung yoghurt with dill and processed cheese.

    Drizzle olive oil to the steamed dolmades, add whole olives and serve.
