  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup caster sugar
  • 1 cup clarified butter
  • ½ cup Refined flour
  • ½ cup Wheat flour, Oil for frying, Wheat flour for dusting

    Boil milk with caster sugar and clarified butter in a pan.

    In a bowl, add refined flour and wheat flour.
  3. 3

    Using a ladle, add the boiled milk mixture in small quantities to form a stiff dough.
  4. 4

    Dust wheat flour on the platform.
  5. 5

    Pinch a large portion from the dough and make a thick roti using a roller.

    With a cutter, makes shakkar pare of diamond shape (cut into strips and then cut diagonally).

    Heat oil for deep frying.
  8. 8

    Deep fry the shakkar pare until golden-brown.
  9. 9

    Remove on the tissue paper in a plate.
  10. 10

    They will become crisp once cooled.
  11. 11

    Fill in an air-tight jar or serve in a serving plate.
