  • 1 seer fish fillets, Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder, Onion-chilli chutney (paste prepared by blending onion
  • 1 tsp tamarind paste
  • FOR gravy
  • 5-6 shallots chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic clovescrushed
  • 1 tsp Thai ginger chopped
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 2 red chilliesdried
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • Onion-chilli chutney as required
  • ½ cup coconut milk
  • 1-2 tbsp peanuts roasted
  • FOR serving
  • chilli sauce
  • Eggboiled and halved
  • FOR garnish
  • coriander leaves

PREPARATION

    In a bowl, marinate fish with salt, turmeric powder, onion-chilli chutney, and tamarind paste.

    For chilli sauce, heat oil in a pan, add dried red chillies, chopped shallots, garlic, Thai ginger, turmeric powder, coconut milk, and roasted peanuts.

    Cook well.

    Wrap the marinated fish in a banana leaf.
  5. 5

    Heat oil in a grill pan.
  6. 6

    Add the wrapped fish and sear it.
  7. 7

    Serve the grilled fish with chilli sauce and halved boiled egg.

    Garnish with coriander leaves.
