INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Sweet corn kernels
  • 3 tsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 4-5 curry leaves
  • 2 tsp ginger
  • 1/4 cup carrots
  • 3 tsp dry coconut
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp green chilli, Salt, black pepper, water
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 8-10 French beans
  • 8-10 coconut

PREPARATION

    For Makai Upma: Ground the corn kernels in a grinder.
  2. 2

    Then, take a Kadai or a pan, add oil, cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
  3. 3

    Let it crackle.
  4. 4

    Add curry leaves, ginger and grated coconut and mix it well with a spatula.
  5. 5

    Add turmeric powder, green chilies, salt and black pepper.
  6. 6

    Mix the corn kernels mixture with it.
  7. 7

    Pour some water and salt into it and allow it to cook for 3-4 minutes.
  8. 8

    Sprinkle coriander leaves and lime juice on the upma and transfer it into a fresh bowl.
  9. 9

    For side-dish: In the same kadai or pan, add French beans, grated coconut, coriander leaves, salt, sliced coconut leaves and oil.
  10. 10

    Mix all the ingredients well.
