Dinner Rolls
Fresh and warm, right out of the oven these dinner rolls are a delicious accompaniment or snack!

  • ½ tsp yeast, dry, Water as required
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ cup Refined flour, Salt to taste, Oil for greasing, Water for brushing, Black sesame seeds as required, Multigrains as required

    In a small bowl, dissolve dry yeast in water.

    In a mixing bowl, combine refined flour and salt.
  3. 3

    Add dissolved yeast.
  4. 4

    Knead to make a dough.
  5. 5

    Cover the dough with a moist muslin cloth and rest the dough for 10 min to ferment.

    Once fermented, punch the dough and make dinner rolls.
  7. 7

    Rolls can be round or knot shaped or any shape as you prefer.

    Grease a baking dish with oil (using a brush).
  9. 9

    Place the rolls in the baking dish and apply water on top of the rolls (using a brush).
  10. 10

    Sprinkle sesame seeds and multigrains on a few rolls and leave the remaining rolls as is.

    Pre-heat an oven and bake rolls for 10 min at 180 C.

    Serve warm.
