  • split pigeon peas
  • turmeric powder
  • pumpkin
  • yam
  • tinsel gold
  • raw banana
  • brinjals
  • bay leaves
  • salt as per taste
  • nadi
  • grated coconut
  • coriander seeds
  • cumin seeds
  • black peppercorns
  • fenugreek seeds
  • black cardamom
  • cloves
  • cinnamon stick
  • ginger
  • ghee
  • asafoetida
  • cumin seeds

HOW TO PREPARE DALMA

    In a heated pan, add split pigeon peas, turmeric powder and let it boil until its half cooked.
  2. 2

    Add chopped vegetables and let it cook. Add bay leaves, salt as per taste and let it cook again. Add nadi, grated coconut and mix.
  3. 3

    In another heated pan, add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, black peppercorns, fenugreek seeds, black cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick and dry roast it. Grind the mixture into a powder and add it in the curry.

    In a heated pan, add ghee, asafoetida, cumin seeds, crushed ginger and mix. Pour the tadka in the curry and let it boil.
