INGREDIENTS

  • 2-3 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp asafoetida
  • 1 cup green gram, boiled
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp dry mango powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder, Salt to taste
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 green chilli, Tamarind sauce, mint sauce
  • FOR garnish
  • dry mango powder

HOW TO PREPARE DAL VADAS

    In a pan, heat oil.

    Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, boiled green gram, red chilli powder, dry mango powder, turmeric powder, and salt.

    Mix well.
  4. 4

    Blend the mixture well.
  5. 5

    Add bread crumbs and green chilli to the mixture and blend again.
  6. 6

    Place the blended mixture in a bowl and knead it to prepare a dough.
  7. 7

    Shape the dough with a cookie cutter on a muslin cloth and prepare the vadas.
  8. 8

    Heat oil and deep-fry the vadas.
  9. 9

    Serve hot with tamarind sauce and mint sauce, garnished with raw mango powder.
