INGREDIENTS

  • For Dal: 2 cups Arhar Dal
  • Water
  • Salt
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 Tomato
  • 9 Garlic cloves
  • Onion
  • Oil
  • Red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp Cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp black Mustard seeds
  • For Dough: 1 cup Wheat Flour
  • Salt
  • ½ tsp Cumin seeds
  • Water

PREPARATION

    Soak arhar dal in water for an hour.
  2. 2

    In a pan add arhar dal, water, salt, turmeric powder and stir to cook.
  3. 3

    Add chopped tomato, chopped garlic and let the dal to cook.
  4. 4

    fFr dulha take wheat flour in a bowl, add salt, cumin seeds, water and knead into a tight dough, rest dough for some time.

    Make small balls of the dough.
  6. 6

    Spread ball into 4 inch diameter using your fingers.
  7. 7

    Gently hold the flatten dough from both hands, pinch them on the side and bring it inwards, repeat the process on other two sides.

    Poach dulha in the dal.

    Let it cook till done.

    Remove few dulhas from the dal and deep fry them.
  11. 11

    For tadka heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, black mustard seeds.
  12. 12

    Add chopped tomato, chopped garlic cloves, chopped onion, chopped coriander and sauté.

    Add dal and dulha in the tadka and let it boil.
  14. 14

    Serve dal ka dulha with fried dulhas.
