  • Water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 cup soaked groundnut
  • 3 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 250 gm of wheat flour
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • red chilli powder
  • coriander powder
  • 150 gm ghee
  • 50 gm cooked toor dal
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • For tadka
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp hing
  • 1 curry leaf
  • For garnish
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves

    In a heated pan, add water, cinnamon stick, soaked groundnut, turmeric powder, turmeric powder and mix. Add ghee and let it cook.

    In a bowl, add wheat flour, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, coriander powder, ghee and mix. Add water and prepare a dough. Roll out the dough and cut it into pieces.

    Add the dough pieces in the boiling mixture of spices. Add cooked toor dal, sugar, salt as per taste and mix.

    For the tadka, add ghee in a heated pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, curry leaf and pour the tadka dal. Add lemon juice and mix.

    Garnish with chopped onion and coriander leaves.
