INGREDIENTS

  • 100 ml Water
  • 3 tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp Fennels Seeds
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • To taste Salt
  • 2 Star Anise
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 Cucumber (thick slices)
  • 1 Onion
  • 200 gm Mild Cheddar Cheese
  • 50 gms Butter
  • 1 loaf Baguette
  • 50 gms Chicken Ham
  • 1 Grilled Chicken breast / (marinated with Salt pepper
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 3 slices Cheese. For Garnish
  • Mayonnaise
  • Red Thai Chillies
  • Lettuce Leaves
  • Pickled Dill

HOW TO PREPARE CUBANO

    In stock pot boil water, sliced cucumber, onion vinegar, mustard seeds, fennel seeds, sugar, star anise and black pepper and salt to taste.

    Remove the cucumber and onion in a bowl to retain the crispiness.
  3. 3

    Melt cheddar cheese cubes in same broth and add to the bowl of cucumber and onion.
  4. 4

    Slice the Cuban loaf in half, apply mustard, butter on both sides of the loaf.
  5. 5

    Layer the pickled cucumber, onions and cheese followed by chicken ham, shredded chicken breast, mayonnaise and cheese slices.

    Cover with other loaf, add oil in the grill pan and grill sandwich on both the sides.

    Cut the sandwich in large pieces garnish with spoonful of mayonnaise sliced pickled dill, red chilli and some lettuce leaves.

    Serve Cuban with the pickle sauce.
