INGREDIENTS

  • FOR Dough
  • 3 cups wheat flour
  • 1 cup gram flour
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp carom seeds
  • 1½ cup pumpkin paste
  • 2 tsp oil
  • FOR Chutney
  • 4 green tomatoes
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Black pepper
  • 5 to 6 green chillies
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • Water

HOW TO PREPARE CONG YOU BING/ SCALLION PANCAKE

    In a mixing bowl add refined flour, salt, baking powder, water, vinegar and oil.

    Knead it well and allow it to rest for some time.
  3. 3

    Then, roll the dough and brush it with sesame oil.
  4. 4

    Sprinkle chilli flakes white sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
  5. 5

    Then, wet the edges of the dough.
  6. 6

    Roll and seal the dough properly.
  7. 7

    Cut the roll into four equal parts.
  8. 8

    Pick one portion and dust refined flour on it.
  9. 9

    Roll the dough into a disc shape.
  10. 10

    Brush sesame oil in the pan and shallow fry the pancake on both the sides.

    For the soy sesame dip: In a bowl, add soy sauce, crushed sesame seeds, chilli flakes, salt, white vinegar, sesame oil and chopped spring onion.

    Mix them well.

    Serve the pancakes with soy sauce dip.
