  • 3 egg whites
  • 150 gm Caster sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • refined flour
  • oil

    Whisk egg whites well using an electric beater. The eggs must be at room temperature. Add sugar, some vanilla essence, and desiccated coconut. Blend well. Grease a baking tray with oil. Dust the tray with refined flour. Using a spoon, place some quantity f the mixture on the tray. Make some more macaroons with the mixture. In a pre heated oven, bake the macaroons for 6 to 7 minutes at 190 C. Reduce the temperature to 170 C and bake again for another 6 to 7 minutes. Make sure they are crusty from outside and soft from within. Your coconut macaroons are ready to serve.
