INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • water as required
  • 1 to 2 tbsp chopped kiwi
  • 3 to 4 tbsp chopped strawberries
  • For Batter: 5 to 6 tbsp sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup coconut milk
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • For Garnish: Caramelised sugar paste
  • grated coconut
  • For Serving: Kiwisliced
  • Strawberry sliced

HOW TO PREPARE COCONUT CUSTARD

    In a bowl take sugar, egg yolk, coconut milk, cardamom powder and mix them well to make a batter.

    Add finely chopped kiwi and finely chopped strawberries and mix well.

    In a custard mould, add some of the caramelised sugar paste and batter, and cover it with a foil.

    Keep the custard mould in a hot water pan and close it with a lid.

    Steam for 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. 7

    Check by inserting a pointed knife.

    If it comes out clean it means the custard is cooked.
  9. 9

    Bring it to room temperature.
  10. 10

    Refrigerate the prepared dish to set it well.
  11. 11

    Carefully transfer from the mould to a plate.
  12. 12

    Garnish with caramelised sugar paste, grated coconut and serve with sliced kiwi and sliced strawberry.
