INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • pinch of hing
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  • For tempering
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp chana dal
  • 3-4 curry leaves
  • 2- 3 dry red chillies
  • 1 tsp urad dal

PREPARATION

    Add grated coconut, pinch of hing, ginger, garlic cloves, green chilli, salt, lemon juice in blender.

    For Tempering, in a pan add oil, mustard seeds, chana dal, curry leaves, dry red chillies and urad dal and mix.
  3. 3

    Pour the tempering over the chutney and mix. Coconut chutney is ready to serve with Idli, Dosa or Vada.
