INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • salt
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • water
  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp coffee powder
  • olive oil
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 cup nutty chocolate
  • 1 to 2 tbsp raisins

    In a bowl add all purpose flour, salt, ghee, water and knead into a dough. Cover the dough with wet muslin cloth. In a pan, add condensed milk and cook, reducing it till it turns golden brown. Add sugar coffee powder in the pan and mix. Set aside the mixture in a bowl. Take small pieces of dough and roll it out in a circle and cut into flower shape with a cookie cutter. Place the filling in the centre, then cover with another flower shape and seal properly. To deep fry the gujiya, add olive oil in a fryer and fry till golden brown. For nutty chocolate sauce, in a pan add cream and bring to a boil. In a bowl, add nutty chocolate, red raisins, pour boiling cream and mix it well. Garnish the new age gujiya with the nutty chocolate sauce in the centre to resemble a flower with a chocolate centre.
