Gujiya is synonymous to Holi celebrations. Chef Shipra Khanna gives a chocolate and caramel twist to the traditional gujiya making it more delicious. This holi serve these Chocolate Caramel Gujiyas to your family and impress them.
In a bowl, add all purpose flour, ghee, water and prepare a soft dough. Dip the dough in ghee and roll out. Using a cookie cutter give it a proper shape.
In a heated pan, sugar and leave it to caramelise. Add walnuts, almonds, pistachios, cashew nuts and mix it well. Grease a plate using oil and transfer the dry fruits in it and leave it to set. Crush it once it is set and add it in the bowl.
Stuff the dough with crushed dry fruits and seal it. Repeat the same with other gujia. Deep fry it in the oil until it turns golden brown.
Garnish with melted chocolate, caramel sauce and sprinklers.
