  • 1 1/2 cup sliced lotus stem
  • 1 1/2 cup corn flour
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • oil for frying
  • 1 tbsp chopped carrots
  • 1 tbsp chilli flakes
  • 2 tbsp bell peppers
  • 2 tbsp chopped spring onions
  • black pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • salt to taste

    Heat oil in a frying pan.

    Coat the lotus stem with cornflour and deep fry them till they get crispy.

    Take some oil in a saucepan.
  4. 4

    Add chopped spring onions (green), chopped carrots and chopped red bell peppers saute them.

    Add chilli flakes, honey, tomato sauce, chilli sauce, soy sauce and salt to the mixture.

    Cook for 5-6 minutes.

    Toss in the fried lotus stems into the mixture in the saucepan and mix them well.

    Eat the lotus stems when they are hot, fresh and crispy.
