INGREDIENTS

  • For Chickpea And Veg Potpie
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • few spring of thyme
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • salt
  • 1 tsp black peppercorn
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 onions
  • 8 sage leaves
  • 2 orange carrots
  • 1 potato
  • ½ turnip
  • 1 fennel bulb
  • 2 celery
  • salt
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1 cup vegetable stock
  • 1 cup soaked chickpeas
  • 1 tbsp fennel leaves
  • 2 cups chestnut flour
  • salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 4 tbsp white wine
  • water
  • ½ cup gram flour

HOW TO PREPARE CHICKPEA AND VEG POTPIE

  1. 1

    Procedure to make Chickpea & veg potpie: In a heated pan add olive oil, thyme sprigs, garlic cloves, salt, black peppercorns, cumin seeds, chopped onions and sage leaves.

    Add chopped carrots, potatoes, turnip, fennel bulbs and celery.
  3. 3

    Add salt, chopped garlic, vegetable stock, soaked chickpeas and boil it.
  4. 4

    In a bowl add chestnut flour, chopped celery, salt, black pepper powder, paprika powder and mix it well.
  5. 5

    Divide the flour into two.

    Add white wine to the first half of flour and pour it into the pan.
  7. 7

    Add water to the pan and mix it.
  8. 8

    Sprinkle chestnut flour.
  9. 9

    In a bowl add gram flour, chopped sage leaves and add the mixture into the pan.

    Add chestnut flour, fennel leaves, olive oil and bake it in the preheated oven at 180' C for 10 minutes.

    To garnish add celery, fennel, turnip, olive oil, black pepper powder and Chickpea and veg potpie is ready to serve.
