Chicken Tikka Calzone
You might have tried Chicken Tikka! Ever heard about stuffed Chicken Tikka in Calzone? In this video Chef, Rakhee gives a twirl to Chicken Tikka. The Calzone is stuffed with onions, bell peppers and Chicken Tikka which is being baked in the oven for a more crispy, crunchy and spicy remake.

  • FOR Chicken Tikka Calzone
  • ½ cup sliced onions
  • 1 cup sliced mixed bell peppers
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1 tsp chopped green chillies
  • 1 cup grated cheese Refined flour for dusting
  • Egg wash as required
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger - garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp cashew nut paste
  • 1 tsp chopped green chillies
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Water as required
  • FOR Marinade
  • 2 tbsp hung curd
  • 1 tbsp Ginger - garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp black salt
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • Turmeric powder a pinch
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp mustard oil
  • 8 to 10 pieces boneless chicken leg portions
  • FOR Dough
  • 250 gm Refined flour
  • 5 to 6 gm Fresh yeast
  • 6 to 7 gm sugar
  • Warm water as required
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
  • 1 tsp Olive oil

    Procedure to make Chicken tikka calzone: In a bowl add refined flour, a mixture of yeast, sugar and water.

    Add salt, water, olive oil and prepare a dough.
  3. 3

    In a bowl add the dough, cover it with cling sheet and let it prove for 20 minutes.

    In a bowl at hung curd, ginger - garlic paste, black salt, chaat masala, lime juice, dried fenugreek leaves, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt and mix it.

    Add mustard oil and mix it.

    Add boneless chicken pieces into the marination.

    In a heated pan add oil, ginger - garlic paste, tomato puree, cashew nut paste and mix it.

    To the pan add marinated chicken and mix it.

    Add water, chopped green chillies, all spice powder and mix it.

    Roll out the dough over the flour, add sliced onions, red, yellow and green peppers.

    Add chicken tikka, fresh coriander leaves, chopped green chillies, mozzarella and cheddar cheese, fold the dough and seal it.

    On a tray dust flour and leave it to prove.

    Apply egg wash on the calzone, with a knife make gashes and bake it in a preheated oven at 200' C for 20 - 25 minutes.

    To garnish add coriander leaves, olive oil and Chicken tikka calzone is ready to serve.
