Chicken Nargisi Biryani

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 gm chicken, medium-sized cut
  • 4 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder and 2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 cup hung curd
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 tbsp clarified butter
  • 2 - 3 mace and 6 - 8 cloves
  • 4 - 5 cardamoms and 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tsp chicken masala
  • 2 - 3 chopped mint leaves
  • 100 gm fried onion
  • 750 gm cooked rice
  • 75 ml saffron cream
  • 2 - 3 chopped green chillies
  • 20 ml rose water
  • 20 ml lemon juice
  • For garnish: Coriander leaves

HOW TO PREPARE CHICKEN NARGISI BIRYANI

    In a heated pan, add clarified butter, mace, cloves, cardamoms, cinnamon sticks and fry it Add chopped onion and cook it on slow flame until it turns golden brown.

    Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and mix it Add chicken masala, hung curd, mint leaves and mix it.

    Add the marinated chicken in the pan and mix it Add salt as per taste and mix again Layer it with fried onion Layer again with cooked rice Add saffron cream and spread it on the rice.

    Add fried onions, chopped green chilli, rose water, lemon juice and cook it on a slow flame for 30 minutes.

    Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
