Chicken Farcha is a Parsi style fried chicken. Chef Ajay Chopra makes this Parsi fried chicken with a blend of spices. This golden-brown fried chicken is simply superb in taste.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 pieces of chicken drumsticks
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander, cumin powder
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped green chilli
  • 3 to 4 chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 cup refined flour

HOW TO PREPARE CHICKEN FARCHA

  1. 1

    Dash the chicken with a knife. Marinate the chicken with lemon juice, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander and cumin powder.

    Mix the spices well in the chicken. Add ginger-garlic paste and mix it well. Leave it overnight to marinate.

    In a pan, add oil and let it warm. Add chopped onion, green chilli and saute. Add chopped garlic and stir it.

    Add the chicken, sprinkle water and let it cook. In a bowl, add egg, egg white, salt, and whisk it.

    Coat the chicken with maida and salt mixture. Dip in the egg batter. Fry the chicken in oil until the chicken is cooked.
  6. 6

    Coat the chicken with maida and salt mixture. Dip in the egg batter and bake it in the oven at 180'C for 10 - 12 minutes.
  7. 7

    Garnish with salad serve.
