Chicken Calzone

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1 tbsp onions
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 cup minced chicken
  • 2 tbsp meat masala
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • salt
  • 2 tbsp diced mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp red and yellow bell peppers
  • 2 tsp red chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • 3 cup flour
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg

HOW TO PREPARE CHICKEN CALZONE

  1. 1

    Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and add 1 tbsp garlic, 1 tbsp onions, 2 tbsp tomato puree, 1 cup minced chicken and sauté well.

    Add 2 tbsp meat masala, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric and salt for seasoning.

    Add 2 tbsp diced mushrooms, 2 tbsp red and yellow bell peppers, 2 tsp red chilli flakes, 1 tsp mixed herbs and stir well.

    Sprinkle chopped parsley.

    Take 3 cup flour, 1 tsp salt and add water as per requirement to make a soft dough.

    Rest the dough for 15 minutes.

    Cut a piece of the dough and roll into the shape of a circular disc and place it in the baking dish.
  8. 8

    Pour the mixture and add some grated mozzarella cheese on the top.
  9. 9

    Brush the edges of the disc with egg wash.
  10. 10

    Cover the mixture with a rolled dough sheet and seal the edges.
  11. 11

    Brush the upper surface of the sheet with egg wash.
  12. 12

    Bake it in a preheated oven at 180'C for the first 10 minutes and reduce the temperature to 150'C for the next 15 minutes.

    Chicken Calzone is ready.
