  • ¼ cup Lukewarm water
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp active yeast dried
  • 1 egg
  • 2 to 3 tbsp milk salt
  • 1 cup refined flour
  • ½ cup Butter melted
  • 1 cup Cheddar grated cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella grated cheese
  • ½ tbsp red chilli flakes
  • ½ tbsp oregano
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tbsp refined flour black pepper powder
  • 1 cup pasta sauce Egg wash

    Mix lukewarm water sugar and dried active yeast, in a bowl and set aside for 10 to 15 minutes. In another bowl, make a dough using an egg, milk, salt, refined flour and melted butter, and rest for one hour. In another bowl, mix grated cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese and add red chilli flakes, oregano, garlic powder, refined flour and pepper powder. Mix all these well. Divide the prepared dough into four portions and roll each portion into a 9 inch circle. On the first circle, apply a layer of pasta sauce and evenly spread the cheese mixture. Cover with the second circle. Repeat this process for the second and third circles. Cover with the last one. Using a circular cutter, make a mark in the centre of the stack. Do not cut through the stack with this cutter. Starting from the mark, cut the stack into 16 parts, retaining the central circle. Twist each portion twice and join every two portions by pressing the ends together. Thus eight braids will be formed. Apply egg wash on the bread. Bake in a pre heated oven at 190 C for 20 minutes. Serve hot.
