Chawli ki Sabzi
This dish goes well with roti or rice. Very simple to prepare and needs basic ingredients which are available at home.

  • 1 cup black eyed beans
  • soaked
  • 3 4 tbsp oil
  • 2 died red chillies
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 cup chopped Tomatoes
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp All ground spice
  • salt to taste
  • water
  • For Garnish: Coriander leaves

    Heat oil in a pressure cooker add dried red chillies and saute chopped onion, ginger and garlic paste in it.

    Add chopped tomatoes, followed by red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and all ground spice.

    Mix well with water.

    Add the soaked black eyed beans to the masala.

    Add a little salt and mix again by pouring some more water.

    Put the pressure cooker lid on and let it cook until you get three whistles.

    Subsequently, transfer it to a serving plate.

    Garnish it with some coriander leaves.
