INGREDIENTS

  • 1½ cup srice flour
  • salt pinch
  • water
  • 2 to 3 tbsp jaggery
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • Cardamom powder pinch
  • 2 tbsp Dry grated coconut
  • watermelon sliced
  • 1 tbsp jaggery

HOW TO PREPARE CHAWAL KI SEVIYAN KONKANI STYLE

    In a bowl knead a dough using rice flour, salt, and water.
  2. 2

    Make dumplings from the dough.
  3. 3

    In a pan, heat water and cook rice dumplings for 10 to 12 min.
  4. 4

    Melt jaggery in another pan.
  5. 5

    Add coconut milk and cardamom powder to the pan and mix well.
  6. 6

    Fill the cooked rice dumplings in the seviyan maker and make seviyan on a colocasia leaf.
  7. 7

    Serve the seviyan with the prepared coconut milk.
  8. 8

    Garnish seviyan with dry grated coconut, jaggery, and slices of watermelon.
