INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup soaked split Bengal gram
  • ½ cup curry leaves
  • 2 tsp chopped ginger
  • 3 to 4 chopped green chillies
  • 1 tsp chopped coriander
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper powder
  • ½ tsp All ground spice
  • ½ tsp cumin powder roasted
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying
  • For Serving: Green chutney
  • For Garnish: Salad

HOW TO PREPARE CHANA KADIPATTA TIKKI

    Strain the soaked split Bengal gram dal.
  2. 2

    Strain water from the curry leaves too.
  3. 3

    In a mixer, add soaked Bengal gram, curry leaves, garlic, ginger, green chillies and coriander (all chopped) and blend well.

    Add some salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, all ground spice and cumin powder.

    Add a little lemon juice too.
  6. 6

    Grind these it to make a coarse mixture to prepare the tikkis.
  7. 7

    With the hands, make small tikkis and fry them in hot oil.
  8. 8

    Fry both sides well and drain the excess oil.
  9. 9

    Transfer the tikkis it to a serving dish.
  10. 10

    Garnish them with salad and serve them with green chutney.
