Strain the soaked split Bengal gram dal. Strain water from the curry leaves too. In a mixer, add soaked Bengal gram, curry leaves, garlic, ginger, green chillies and coriander (all chopped) and blend well. Add some salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, all ground spice and cumin powder. Add a little lemon juice too. Grind these it to make a coarse mixture to prepare the tikkis. With the hands, make small tikkis and fry them in hot oil. Fry both sides well and drain the excess oil. Transfer the tikkis it to a serving dish. Garnish them with salad and serve them with green chutney.
