INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • ¼ cup refined flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp black raisins
  • 2 tbsp yellow raisins
  • 2 tsp orange zest
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Cinnamon powder a pinch
  • ½ tsp nutmeg grated
  • ½ cup carrots grated
  • oil for greasing
  • ½ cup caster sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • ½ tsp red food colour
  • 1 tsp oil
  • cup carrots grated
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Chocolate sauce

HOW TO PREPARE CARROT CAKE

    In a bowl beat sunflower oil with refined flour, sugar, and egg.

    Add black and yellow raisins, orange zest, baking powder, cinnamon powder, and grated nutmeg.

    Beat again.
  4. 4

    Add grated carrots to the bowl and beat one more time till the mixture moistens.
  5. 5

    Grease the cake mould with oil.
  6. 6

    Pour the batter into the mould.
  7. 7

    Bake for 15 to 20 min at 200 C.
  8. 8

    For the sauce, mix caster sugar and orange juice and beat them well.
  9. 9

    Add a pinch of red food colour to this.
  10. 10

    Beat again and the sauce is ready.

    For garnish, sauté the grated carrots in a little oil.
  12. 12

    Add a little sugar and mix well.
  13. 13

    Transfer the cake to a plate.
  14. 14

    Pour sauce on the top.
  15. 15

    Garnish with roasted carrots.
  16. 16

    Decorate the cake with chocolate sauce.
