INGREDIENTS

  • 3 to 4 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • 10 to 12 curry leaves
  • 1 cup chopped cabbage
  • ½ cup split Bengal gram
  • soaked
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • 3 tbsp Coconut
  • grated
  • salt to taste
  • For Garnish: grated Coconut

HOW TO PREPARE CABBAGE PORIYAL

    Heat oil in a pan.

    Saute mustard seeds dry red chillies, and a few curry leaves.
  3. 3

    Add chopped cabbage and soaked split bengal gram.
  4. 4

    Mix well.
  5. 5

    Season with salt turmeric powder, and coriander powder.
  6. 6

    Add grated coconut to flavour the curry.
  7. 7

    Once cooked, transfer to a serving plate.
  8. 8

    Garnish with some grated coconut.
