  • FOR Bunuelos
  • 1 cup Refined Flour
  • 2 tbs Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 5 gms Yeast (Soaked In Water)
  • 50 ml Milk
  • 3 Star Anise
  • 1 cup Water
  • for frying Oil
  • FOR Glazing
  • 1 cup Orange And Sugar Syrup
  • .
  • FOR Garnish
  • Cinnamon Powder
  • Powdered Sugar

    In a bowl, add flour, sugar, egg, milk, yeast, star anise flavoured water and mix well to make soft dough and ferment for one hour.

    Make small dough balls let it rest for five minutes.
  3. 3

    Heat oil in frying pan and add star anise for flavour.
  4. 4

    Flatten the dough balls on hand and make 3 holes on it and fry it.
  5. 5

    Take out the bunuelos on a plate and glaze it with orange sugar syrup while they are hot.
  6. 6

    While serving place the bunuelos and sprinkle cinnamon powder and powdered sugar.
  7. 7

    Bolivian bunuelos are ready to eat.
