INGREDIENTS

  • bamboo sticks
  • onion
  • coconut
  • ginger
  • ghee
  • mustard seeds
  • curry leaves
  • salt
  • turmeric powder
  • tamarind paste
  • buttermilk

PREPARATION

    Cut the bamboo sticks and peel the skin of it. Chop the bamboo stick finely. Soak it in the water mixed with turmeric powder and salt for 2 days.

    Prepare a paste of onion, coconut and ginger. In a heated pan, add ghee, mustard seeds, curry leaves and let it pop. Add boiled bamboo sticks and stir fry it.

    Add buttermilk, salt as per taste, turmeric powder. Add the paste of onion, ginger and garlic. Leave it to cook. Add tamarind paste and mix it.

    Serve the Bimbale Curry hot.
