INGREDIENTS

  • 8 to 9 lady’s fingers
  • 1 to 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 4 to 5 red chillies dried
  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp split black grams
  • 15 to 20 curry leaves
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • salt
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 15 to 20 curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp split black grams
  • salt
  • 1 tbsp tamarind paste

HOW TO PREPARE BHINDI SAAMSE

  1. 1

    Chop the lady's fingers and put the pieces in a bowl.
  2. 2

    Sprinkle mustard oil and set aside.
  3. 3

    Heat a pan and roast the dried red chillies, mustard seeds, split black grams, salt and curry leaves.
  4. 4

    Add grated coconut and mix well.
  5. 5

    Blend the ingredients in a mixer and set aside.
  6. 6

    Heat mustard oil in a pan.
  7. 7

    Add split black gram and curry leaves.
  8. 8

    Roast till they turn light brown in colour and minimise the flame to add the lady's fingers.

    Sprinkle salt and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.

    Add tamarind paste and mix well.
  11. 11

    Garnish with the grated coconut and serve hot.
