INGREDIENTS

  • 2 bananas diced
  • 1 cup refined flour
  • ½ cup corn starch
  • Baking powder a pinch
  • water
  • oil for frying
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Ice cold water
  • Sesame seeds
  • Banana slices

HOW TO PREPARE BANANA TOFFEES

    Peel the bananas and cut into round pieces.
  2. 2

    In a bowl, add refined flour, corn starch, baking powder, and water.
  3. 3

    Mix well.
  4. 4

    Heat oil for deep frying.
  5. 5

    Dip the banana pieces individually in the batter and deep fry until they are golden brown.
  6. 6

    Drain excess oil with a tissue paper.
  7. 7

    In another pan, add sugar and caramelise.
  8. 8

    Dip the fried banana pieces in the caramelised sugar and then in the bowl of ice cold water one by one.
  9. 9

    Serving the toffees and garnish with sesame seeds and banana slices.
