  • FOR Dough
  • 500 gms all purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp yeast
  • Water
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • FOR Kheer
  • 100 gms makhana
  • Ghee
  • 3 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 100 gms dry fruits
  • ½ litre milk
  • 3 tbsp sugar

    Mix all purpose flour, brown sugar, yeast, Water, ghee and make a soft dough.

    Leave it to rest overnight.
  3. 3

    Apply oil on your fingers and make discs of dough.
  4. 4

    Place them on plate glazed with oil for 5 to 7 minutes.

    Heat ghee and fry discs till golden brown.
  6. 6

    Fry makhana in hot ghee and remove.
  7. 7

    Toast poppy seeds in ghee, add dry fruits and mix.
  8. 8

    Add the makhana and milk in the pan and cook on low flame.
  9. 9

    Once kheer thickens, add stir till done.
  10. 10

    Sprinkle brown sugar and cardamom powder on babroo and kheer.
  11. 11

    Serve hot.
