  • For dough
  • 500 gm all purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp yeast
  • water
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • For kheer
  • 100 gm makhana
  • ghee
  • 3 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 100 gms dry fruit
  • ½ litre milk

    Mix all purpose flour, brown sugar, yeast, Water, ghee and make a soft dough. Leave it to rest overnight. Apply oil on your fingers and make discs of dough. Place them on plate glazed with oil for 5 to 7 minutes. Heat ghee and fry discs till golden brown. Fry makhana in hot ghee and remove. Toast poppy seeds in ghee, add dry fruits and mix. Add the makhana and milk in the pan and cook on low flame. Once kheer thickens, add stir till done. Sprinkle brown sugar and cardamom powder on babroo and kheer. Serve hot.
