  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 10 to 12 chopped and boiled taro root
  • 1 tsp Carom seeds
  • 2 tsp chopped ginger
  • ½ tsp chopped green chillies
  • 1 tsp chopped coriander
  • ½ tsp dry mango powder
  • 2 tsp raw mango chopped
  • 2 tsp chopped dates
  • 2 tsp dried apricots chopped
  • Ready dough as required
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying
  • For Garnish Fresh apricots
  • Tamarind chutney
  • Coriander leaves

    Heat a little oil in a pan and fry both sides of the boiled and chopped taro root until its colour turns brown. Add carom seeds, chopped ginger, chopped green chillies, chopped coriander, salt, dry mango powder, chopped raw mango, chopped dates and chopped dried apricots. Mix them well with the fried taro roots. Transfer the contents to a bowl. Mash it well and allow it to cool for 10 to 12 minutes. Flatten the already prepared dough. Make different round shapes. Fill it with the mashed mixture and then seal the edges. Fry these in the hot oil in a separate pan. Once fried drain the excess oil. Transfer it to a serving plate. Garnish it with fresh chopped apricots tamarind chutney and coriander leaves.
