One day I was thinking of making apple kheer and then suddenly I thought why not give it a twist. So I made these tasty and healthy burfis. They have the goodness of milk, fruit and nuts as well.   • 1 ltr milk
  • 3 medium sized apples peeled and grated
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 3-4 tbps sugar
  • few saffron strands soaked in warm milk
  • Some walnuts for garnish

    Take a kadhai and add milOnce it starts boiling add grated appleKeep stirring occasionally so that it doesn’t stick to the bottoOnce the milk is reduced to half add saffron and walnuts and keep stirrinAfter 15-20 minutes, the milk will be reduced completely and then add sugar and keep stirring for 5 more minuteTake a greased plate and pour the mixture into it and let it set for half an houCut into squares and garnish with walnutReady to serve.
