INGREDIENTS

  • 4 red apples
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 rolled oats
  • 2 tsp powdered sugar
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 - 4 lasagna sheets
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • fried noddle's
  • 1/2 red apple
  • 1/2 green apple
  • 1 sprig mint leaf

PREPARATION

    Cut 4 apples into roundels.

    Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan and add the apples, 2 tbsp powdered sugar, ½ cup rolled oats and sauté well.

    Cover the pan and simmer on low flame.

    In a bowl, add 1 cup Cheddar cheese, ½ cup brown sugar, 1½ cup Ricotta cheese, ½ tsp cinnamon powder, ½ tsp nutmeg powder and mix well.

    Grease a baking dish with 2 tbsp butter and place 2 lasagna sheets. Place some cheese filling on the sheets, followed by the simmered apple roundels. Sprinkle 2 tbsp brown sugar on it. Repeat the process with lasagna sheets, cheese filling, apples and brown sugar.

    Place another lasagna sheet in the top layer followed by cheese filling and brown sugar.

    Bake the lasagna in a preheated oven at 170’C for 20-22 minutes. In a pan, add ½ cup walnuts, 2 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp butter and cook till the sugar caramelizes coating the walnuts.

    Garnish the apple lasagna with powdered sugar, fried noodles, caramelized walnuts, red and green apple slices and 1 mint sprig.
