INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 4 green cardamom
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 4 cloves
  • 8 black peppers
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp asafoetida
  • 1 cup soaked rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 cup green peas
  • Salt
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • Potato papad
  • Yoghurt
  • Pickle

HOW TO PREPARE ALOOMAAR KI TEHERI

    In a pan warm ghee and add green cardamom, bay leaves, cloves, black peppers, stick cinnamon, cumin seeds, asafoetida and sauté.

    Once spices have spluttered add rice and mix well.
  3. 3

    Add two cups water in the rice and let it cook.
  4. 4

    Add potatoes, green peas, Salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, ginger, coriander leaves.
  5. 5

    Remove Tehri from heat when done.
  6. 6

    Serve Tehri with papad, Yoghurt and Pickle.
