  • 2 green chillies
  • ½ cup soaked bengal gram
  • ¼ cup coriander leaves
  • 1 boiled potato grated
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • salt to taste
  • 3 boiled potatoes grated
  • salt to taste
  • 2-3 tsp clarified butter
  • 3-4 tbsp clarified butter
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp roasted fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp carom seeds
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp dry mango powder
  • black salt to taste
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp black pepper powder
  • dry ginger chutney
  • sweetened curd

    To make Tikki, first mix green chilies, soaked split bengal gram (chana dal), coriander leaves, grated boiled potato, red chilli, roasted cumin powder and salt.

    Then add grated boiled potato, salt and desi ghee in a bowl and mix the mixture in the tikki.

    Now fry the tikkis in desi ghee.

    For chaat masala, add roasted cumin, roasted fennel, celery, salt, mango powder, black salt, sugar, red chilli and black pepper powder and grind them in mortar and pestle.

    Now take out the potato tikkis in a plate, serve with saunth chutney, sweet curd, coriander chutney and chaat masala.
