INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 to 2 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 to 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • salt
  • oil
  • 3 to 4 tbsp Desiccated coconut
  • 5 to 6 pooris
  • 4 to 5 tbsp sweet curd
  • 4 to 5 tbsp tamarind pulp
  • 4 to 5 tbsp green chilli chutney
  • 4 to 5 tbsp onions
  • 4 to 5 tbsp tomatoes
  • 5 to 6 tbsp Nylon sev
  • 1 to 2 tsp coriander leaves
  • 4 to 5 tbsp Pomegranate seeds
  • Decorative carrot

PREPARATION

    In a bowl combine boiled and mashed potatoes with turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chaat masala, chopped coriander leaves, and salt. Mix well. Make small tikkis with this potato mixture. Heat a pan and add oil. Shallow fry the aloo tikkis. Fry on both sides. For plating, sprinkle some desiccated coconut in the serving plate. Place some pooris in the plate and place the tikkis on the pooris. Top the tikkis with some sweetened curd, tamarind pulp, and green chilli chutney. Add some chopped onions and tomatoes and some nylon sev. Add chopped coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds. Garnish the plate with a decorative carrot.
