INGREDIENTS

  • water as required
  • 1 cup chopped bamboo shoots
  • 1 cup black gram
  • 1/4 cup chopped beans
  • 2 chopped drumsticks
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • pink salt
  • 1 - 1/2 cup chopped brinjals & potatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced onion
  • 1 tbsp ginger, garlic and green chilli paste
  • 2 tbsp tamarind pulp
  • 1 tbsp rice flour

PREPARATION

    In a pan, add water as required, chopped bamboo shoots, black gram, chopped beans, drumsticks, turmeric powder, pink salt as per taste and let it cook for 12 - 15 minutes.

    Add chopped brinjals & potatoes, sliced onions and mix. Add ginger, garlic & green chilli paste and mix it well.

    Add tamarind pulp and let it cook for 10 - 12 minutes. Add the slurry of rice flour and water and cook it again for 10 minutes.

    Serve the Aamat with rice.
